PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Gulf Coast Jazz Fest is approaching its 9th anniversary and organizers say it may be their last. The news comes after the Escambia Tourist Development Council (TDC) rejected funding for the festival on Tuesday night.
Festival organizer William “Cadillac” Banks says their request followed protocol, and is a proven economic driver in the community. The board voted 6-3 to deny the funding.
