Milton Fire Dept. seeks 3 new firefighter EMTs

MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) — The Milton Fire Department is looking to hire three more firefighters, or firefighter EMTs, to increase its number of firefighters from 14 to 17.

“We’ve got great equipment, great facilities, and a great tradition of providing service to our community,” Milton Fire Chief John E. Reble said.

Milton City Council has just raised its firefighters’ salaries by 8.25%. Chief Reble believes this raise will hopefully give the department an edge in comparison to surrounding areas.

“Throughout the nation, it is hard to find firefighters lately, and so we’ve got to stay competitive, and this increase will bring us there,” Reble said…
