PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Wednesday morning at Pensacola Beach as the Gulf Coast Turtle Watch Team unveiled its new sea turtle rescue van.
Washington County crash results in fatality and injury
The van will help to transfer injured sea turtles from Escambia County beaches to Gulfarium’s C.A.R.E. Center in Fort Walton Beach.
This van is vital for the watch team, as they rescue roughly 30 to 40 sea turtles annually along Escambia County beaches.
