UWF to receive $32 million grant for new computational intelligence center

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The University of West Florida has been approved for a grant worth $32 million to build a center for computational intelligence that will be a hub for the development of next-generation technology.

The grant will also allow UWF to continue pushing its analytics and cybersecurity programs.

“This is part of our mission of becoming an economic driver, but also so much of the opportunity for our students to be able to do research,” UWF Interim President Manny Diaz Jr. said.
