SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Santa Rosa County officials are warning residents of a scam using the Allentown Volunteer Fire Department’s name.

According to a county news release, residents in the AVFD district have been receiving calls from someone claiming to be from the fire department and asking for donations.
Officials confirmed with the fire department that they are not conducting a fundraising campaign, and even if they were, it would not be via telephone.
