PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man has pleaded guilty to charges involving drug and firearm possession.

Carlton Shoemaker, 51, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a Department of Justice news release said.
Shoemaker allegedly sold and distributed methamphetamine and cocaine in a Pensacola motel room. Officers found cocaine, marijuana, two firearms, ammunition, and “other items indicative of drug distribution” when executing a search warrant in the room.
Due to his status as a convicted felon with prior convictions of burglary, grand theft, cocaine possession, and grand theft of a firearm, Shoemaker faces up to life in prison…
