Pensacola Hospitalist Physicians LLC, a hospitalist group based in Pensacola, Florida, experienced a major data breach. Suspicious activity within the medical group’s internal network was detected on May 22, 2025. An investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to internal systems and files between May 22, 2025 and May 23, 2025.
A review took place and on Sept. 11, 2025, it was discovered that the cybersecurity incident compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI). Patient information compromised includes names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, health insurance information, diagnosis information, provider names, dates of service and treatment information…
