Over a dozen new security cameras could be coming to Pensacola Beach

The Santa Rosa Island Authority Board is set to vote on a proposed agreement to add new security cameras across Pensacola Beach in its Sept. 24 meeting.

This proposal would expand on a previous agreement between Escambia County, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the SRIA, finalized on Sept. 5, 2024, because ESCO has identified some additional locations that are suitable for security cameras.

“Phase 2A” will install seven multi-sensor cameras around the Casino Beach parking lot and Via De Luna Drive, including ECSO’s Pensacola Beach substation, while “Phase 2B” will install another seven cameras that will mostly be located in the boardwalk parking lot…
