Mexican national pleads guilty to firearm possession in Northwest Florida

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Mexican national pleaded guilty to a firearm charge in Northwest Florida, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Teodoro Rodriguez-Alvarez, 34, entered his plea to possession of a firearm by an illegal alien, a news release from the USAO’s Northern District of Florida said.

On July 15, 2025, Gulf Breeze Police officers responded to the Pensacola Bay Bridge in reference to a pickup truck stopped in the emergency lane.

The driver was identified by his Mexican passport as Rodriguez-Alvarez.

Officers spoke with the man briefly before arresting him on multiple driving offenses, according to court records…
