Sun Auto Tire & Service has acquired Vannoy’s Tires’ seven locations throughout the greater Pensacola area, marking a significant expansion of the company’s Gulf Coast operations. The move strategically strengthens Sun Auto’s presence in Florida while complementing recent growth in Alabama and Mississippi.
- Founded by brothers Gordon and Charley Vannoy, the business built its reputation on personalized service and community trust since it opened its first location in 1985.
“From day one, we tried to make every visitor a customer for life,” said Jeff Vannoy. “We are excited to see how the Sun Auto Network accelerates growth and opportunity for our employees and provides additional value for our customers. Knowing that our guests will continue to be treated like family makes the decision to sell to Sun Auto the best choice for all of us.”
The acquisition complements Sun Auto’s recent expansion throughout the region. As the nation’s fifth-largest independent tire and auto repair provider, the company recently acquired five Fausak Tire locations in Mobile, Alabama, and opened an additional facility in that market. Sun Auto now operates nearly fifty locations across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
- “The Sun Auto Network is continuing to grow with purpose nationwide while concentrating on regions where we can build on an established foundation,” said Chris Ripani, Chief Operating Officer of Sun Auto Tire & Service. “With the addition of Vannoy’s Tires in Pensacola, we’re able to improve efficiency, create new opportunities for our teammates, and ensure guests benefit from both the strength of a national company and the care of a trusted local business.”
With more than 525 locations nationwide, Sun Auto combines neighborhood-level service with national resources, offering certified technicians, transparent communication, and comprehensive automotive care. Learn more at www.sun.auto.
