Santa Rosa County drug smuggling investigation leads to arrest of Haitian gang member

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A drug smuggling investigation that began in Santa Rosa County has led to the arrest of a man from Miami, according to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement news release.

According to the release, 52-year-old Dimy Paraison has been arrested and charged in connection with a scheme to smuggle drugs into Florida State prisons.

The investigation began more than a year ago, in June 2024, when the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office asked for the FDLE’s assistance with a drug smuggling investigation.
