30,000 pounds of food, Thanksgiving meals to be distributed in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Two organizations in Pensacola are working together to provide food for families in need.

According to a news release, Farm Share and Marcus Pointe Baptist Church are set to hold their Thanksgiving Food Distribution event on Saturday, Nov. 15, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Families can begin lining up at 6 a.m. at the Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, located at 6205 North W Street. The first 300 families will receive “a box of fresh food and a box containing a complete Thanksgiving meal.”

“This event is about coming together as a community to take care of one another,” said Representative Michelle Salzman. “We’re grateful to FarmShare, Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, and all of our partners who make it possible to provide for local families during the holidays.”
