Blue Angels ‘Fat Albert’ plane likely won’t fly next year due to maintenance work

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ iconic transport plane dubbed “Fat Albert” likely won’t fly next year.

The Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron confirmed the C-130 is being flown to England for maintenance.

The company says they will replace the components that attach the wings to the airplane. The work is expected to take between 10-14 months to complete…
