Study shows 81% of nurses experience workplace violence, prompting calls for safety reform

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Imagine going to work and knowing there’s a chance you’ll be punched, bitten, spit on, and verbally harassed. That’s the daily reality for many of our healthcare workers manning our area hospitals.

National Nurses United found 8 in 10 healthcare workers report experiencing some sort of workplace violence within the past year.
