PACE, Fla. — A grand opening was held for a new fire station in Pace Saturday morning.
Fire Station #4 is located on 7341 Chumuckla Highway. It will operate around the clock. Five firefighters are currently staffed on-duty.
“A few years back, we had a vision of opening a 24-hour staffed fire station here [Pace] in the North end of our district,” said Pace Fire District Chief Robbie Whitfield. “Today, we fulfilled that commitment to our citizens and the vision we had.”…
