Teen dies in 2-car crash in Escambia County, FHP says

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) – Florida Highway Patrol officials said a 17-year-old Pensacola youth was killed in a traffic accident early Saturday morning in Escambia County.

Authorities said the teen was killed in a two vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 29, near Muscogee Road. According to troopers, the teen, driving a Toyota sedan, pulled out of a convenience store parking lot and tried to turn left onto U.S. 29 when a northbound hit the left side of the Toyota.

The FHP said that the teen had been wearing a seat belt but was still thrown from his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene…
