Severe Risk Monday Night

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) –

MONDAY – Waking up warmer across northwest Florida with temperatures in the 50s for morning lows. A few lingering showers may be present through the mid-morning. Aside from a few midday showers, rain mostly backs off through the early to mid afternoon hours. Temperature highs top out in the lower 70s. Beginning around 8:00 PM, thunderstorms look to intensify just to our west, for areas like Pensacola. As the system moves east, the layout will most likely start to resemble a linear format. With adequate shear in the atmosphere, a few tornadoes are not ruled out.
