PENSACOLA, FL – Five Flags Speedway officials announced Friday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. CT that Snowball Derby qualifying, along with the rest of Friday’s scheduled on-track activities, have been postponed. This comes following a complete washout of Thursday’s festivities and only an hour and a half of practice completed Friday morning.
Qualifying for the 58th annual Snowball Derby is now scheduled for Saturday at 12:00 p.m. CT. The Pro Truck, Sportsman and Pure Stock events, which had previously been moved from Thursday to Friday, have now been rescheduled to Monday evening, joining the Crown Stock invitational and Modifieds of Mayhem. At this time, the Allen Turner Snowflake 125 and Outlaw division remain part of Saturday’s schedule.
Gates are scheduled to open at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning for what is now a packed schedule of Saturday festivities. It has been a week filled with rain in the Pensacola area, one in which Mother Nature is the only true winner. More updates on the schedule will come as we have them from track officials.
