Soggy situation continues for the Gulf Coast

A soggy stretch of weather is setting up across the northern Gulf Coast this weekend as a slow-moving weather maker spreads waves of rain over the region. Temperatures will hold in the 50s from morning through evening, showing very little change as clouds and rain keep the air cool. While there will be occasional breaks in the rain, the overall theme for Saturday is wet and dreary. By Saturday night, a brief lull is possible as moisture thins slightly, but showers may still linger.

On Sunday, rain chances trend lower, though a few showers remain possible—mainly during the first half of the day as the disturbance continues to exit. Sunday afternoon looks dry for most locations, but clouds will hang on. Temperatures won’t move much early in the day, remaining in the 50s, but highs should reach the 60s by afternoon as slightly milder air arrives ahead of a cold front.
