Missing 14-Year-Old Was Reported as a Runaway — Now Deputies Say Classmates Shot Her and Set Body on Fire

A Florida girl who had been reported as a runaway was discovered shot and burned in a wooded area this week — and now two teenage boys are facing murder charges in what authorities describe as a horrific killing.

The boys, ages 16 and 14, were arrested on Thursday, Dec. 4, and charged with first-degree premeditated murder in the death of 14-year-old Danika Jade Troy, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said at a Thursday press conference.
