PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Lakeview Center in Pensacola has been awarded a grant from Covenant Care Foundation to continue providing “essential psychiatry services” for uninsured adults.

The $567,305 grant will support three psychiatric nurse practitioners, allowing them to provide care to approximately 2,772 people living in the area, totaling more than 9,000 treatment episodes each year.
“This generous support from Covenant Care Foundation comes at a critical time,” said ShawnSalamida, president of Lakeview Center. “The need for psychiatric care in our community continues to grow, especially among those without insurance.
“This funding ensures that people in crisis can continue to receive the help they need, when they need it most.”…
