ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man from Pensacola has been convicted of second-degree murder in Escambia County.
Man shot at Mobile gas station, investigation underway
According to a news release from the Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida, Kopelyn Gerard Gildon was convicted of second-degree murder with a firearm.
Gildon, accompanied by Raven Morgan, allegedly shot Roosevelt Broadnax, Jr. on Aug. 7, 2022, in the victim’s home on Walnut Avenue. Broadnax was killed in the shooting.
Morgan reportedly distracted the victim as Gildon came into the room they were in and shot him. The homicide was not reported until several hours later…
