ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (NBC 15) — The City of Orange Beach, Mayor Tony Kennon and 4 of the five city council members are being sued for allegedly violating the Alabama Open Meetings Act for a special-called meeting in November 2025.
The suit, filed by the Turquoise Place Condominiums Association, says the city violated the act, and their own city ordinance passed in 2022, by holding a meeting without the required 24-hour notice.
The meeting called on November 21 had one item on the agenda, authorizing a settlement agreement between the city and Larry Wireman in a land dispute lawsuit filed in 2020…
