Escambia County’s Development Review Committee (DRC) meets, nearly, every Wednesday throughout the year and has issued its stamp of approval on dozens of commercial projects throughout 2025.
Some of the additions are coming through plaza construction efforts, such as the ongoing Blue Angel Station development in southwest Pensacola. Others, like Chipotle, Culver’s and First Watch, are simply building their own locations inside of a developing plaza.
Here are which commercial projects were approved by Escambia County’s DRC throughout 2025, and which businesses are opening new locations.
