According to a Santa Rosa County news release, a contractor has planned two prescribed burns on private land that could be visible to drivers passing by.
The first burn is for 260 acres and will take place on Friday, Jan. 2, north of I-10 east of Avalon Boulevard. The area is highlighted in yellow on the map below:
The second burn will take place on a 30-acre island on the Blackwater River…
