Gulf Breeze’s local coffee shop, Gulf Breeze Shop at 203 Gulf Breeze Parkway, is set to permanently close after its final day of business on Jan. 23, the café announced in a social media statement Jan. 8.
The café opened in 2022 as a nonprofit coffee shop part of Coastline Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze to help mentor and train youth for the workforce. The “shop” in the business’s name, Gulf Breeze Shop, stands for “Students Honing Occupational Performance.”
“It has been a blessing to serve the Gulf Breeze community and to provide a local coffee space with a positive, Christ-centered atmosphere. We are grateful for every conversation, every familiar face, and every connection made inside the SHOP,” the statement read. “Our original heart for the SHOP was to pour into students — helping them grow in work ethic, biblical understanding, and a sense of how God has uniquely wired them. While this chapter is closing, that vision is continuing through our student ministry and by strengthening the Coastline Coffeehouse on campus.”…
