ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — An Escambia County EMS paramedic has been named the 2025 Florida Paramedic of the Year.

According to an Escambia County news release, Paramedic Supervisor Nick Watley received the honor from the Florida Department of Health.
Paramedics were nominated for the annual FDOH Excellence in Emergency Medical Services Awards, with Watley being recognized at the award ceremony in Orlando on Jan. 7, according to the release.
