ECSO: Suspect shoots fireworks at deputies during standoff

FERRY PASS, Fla. (WALA) – The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect shot fireworks at deputies during a two hour standoff in Ferry Pass on Thursday, Jan 8.

Deputies said they responded to a criminal mischief call in the 2400 block of Le Ruth Drive and discovered a suspect hitting stop signs with a bat.

Once deputies arrived, the suspect went inside a home and refused to come out, according to officials.

ECSO said the standoff lasted two hours and the suspect shot fireworks at deputies during that time…
