Disaster relief grant funds could go to other Pensacola projects rather than home repairs

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves is facing questions after it was revealed the city failed to meet a timeline to apply for a $5 million grant to help Hurricane Sally victims with home repairs.

Reeves cited lengthy federal regulations that would prevent these repairs from being done in time. The city could still get this money, but it’s likely that none of it will be used to repair homes.
