Four Escambia County high schools receive AP Honor Roll recognition

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Four high schools in Escambia County have earned an Advanced Placement Honor Roll Recognition by the College Board.

Pensacola High School has earned the silver status, while Booker T. Washington High School, J.M. Tate High School, and West Florida High School have earned the bronze status.

The Advanced Placement Program lets students “pursue college level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both while still in high school,” an ECPS news release said. “These courses help students think critically and learn skills to prepare for college.”…
