ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A garage was completely destroyed by fire, but the nearby structure was saved, according to the Escambia County Fire Rescue.

According to an Escambia County Fire Rescue Facebook post, ECFR received a call about 4:44 p.m. Saturday of a fire in the 3200 block of Wiggins Lane.
Six ECFR units responded to the scene, where they found a detached garage showing heavy flames and smoke, with a nearby structure at risk.
Firefighters got to work immediately, quickly knocking out the fire and preventing damage to the nearby structure, according to the post.
The situation was under control by 5:04 p.m., but “despite the rapid response, the garage is a total loss,” the post said.
