Naval Air Station Pensacola closed to public visitation after funding lapse

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – Naval Air Station Pensacola was closed to public visitation beginning Sunday because of a lapse in government funding, it was announced.

A post on the NAS Pensacola Facebook page reads: “Due to a lapse in government funding, beginning Feb. 1 Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola’s areas of public interest are closed until further notice. Installation areas of public interest – including the National Naval Aviation Museum (NNAM) and the Pensacola Lighthouse and the National Parks Service’s Fort Barrancas – are closed until further notice.”…
