Florida law enforcement arrests two men in child exploitation crackdown

PENSACOLA, Florida — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested two men in connection with crimes involving child exploitation, according to a press release from the department.

Daquan Eric Ball, a 22-year-old from McDavid, was charged with 14 counts of failing to report an email address or internet identifier as a sexual offender. Jordan Quinones, a 29-year-old from Pensacola, faces a federal charge of possession of obscene visual representation of the sexual abuse of children. These arrests are part of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and apprehend individuals targeting children and distributing files depicting child sexual abuse.

The investigations were initiated after FDLE agents received cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). During the investigation into Ball’s activities, agents executed a search warrant at his residence on January 28, seizing his cell phone. A preliminary forensic analysis revealed 14 unreported email addresses and internet identifiers, including accounts on TikTok, Discord, Adult Friend Finder, and FeetFinder.com.
