When someone goes missing, most law enforcement agencies use highly trained dogs to track them down. Not only do the K-9s go extensive training, dogs have a heightened sense of smell. Their noses can track lost individuals much faster, especially when time is of the essence. Well move over Hooch, there’s a new sheriff in town (or sheriff’s helper). Police in Pensacola, Florida have been getting help from an otter, of all animals! Apparently, otters use their sense of taste as much as their sense of smell to help them track down someone.
