After a Pensacola mom was arrested for aggravated manslaughter in her 5-year-old son’s death, police records show the child was extremely malnourished to the point of either “abuse or medical neglect.”
Escambia County deputies arrested 36-year-old Jalynda Smith after her son Jakaiden was discovered inside of a garbage bag and wrapped in towels and blankets off Lillian Highway.
According to responding officers, Jakaiden had an “overall mass (that) appeared inconsistant with the expected mass of a 5-year-old.”…
