EPA projects 6-month cleanup for Pensacola’s long-contaminated American Creosote site

PENSACOLA, Fla. — After years of delays, the cleanup of the American Creosote Works site might be starting soon.

Since 1983, the ACW site on J Street has been deemed heavily contaminated by the Environmental Protection Agency.

“That’s the main priority. We want to get the docks and soil at people’s yards and get rid of that,” remedial project manager Peter Thorpe said…
