Feb. 20 was opening day for Pensacon, the annual downtown Pensacola pop culture convention, and once again the event drew in thousands of comic book fans, movie buffs cosplayers and curious onlookers just wanting to join in the good times.
Opening day coincided with Gallery Night, the monthly downtown street party, and local artists, vendors, bars and restaurants all joined in the Pensacon fun with themed events highlight characters from franchises from Star Wars to SpongeBob SquarePants…
