Report: Deputies nab Santa Rosa County high-speed chase suspect thanks to his TikTok video

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — A Navarre 18-year-old is facing excessive speeding and fleeing charges in Santa Rosa County thanks to personal videos of multiple deputy chases that he posted to his TikTok account, according to an arrest report.

Derrick Walker was booked into jail on Sunday on charges of:

  • fleeing/eluding law enforcement (two counts)
  • reckless driving
  • speeding in the excess of the speed limit by 50 mph

According to an arrest report, on Feb 21. around 9 p.m. on Caroline Street in Milton, a Santa Rosa County deputy observed a black Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle speed by. The motorcycle had a long “action camera pole” attached to its rear.
