PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Pensacola’s newest Police Chief Eric Winstrom is officially reporting for duty.

“I’m meeting as many people as I can internally in the police department, in the city, starting to get out in the community,” said Winstrom.
Winstrom talks of his first two items on the agenda. First, he’s focusing on getting officers the best possible training.
“It’s so important,” said Winstrom. “I did talk to the leadership team just early this morning about the recent officer-involved shooting and make sure that there was a solid process in place to debrief because every opportunity, whether it’s good or bad, every incident is an opportunity for an agency to grow and learn.”…
