Video above: How are roads resurfaced?
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Florida Department of Transportation will begin a $14 million resurfacing project this month in Escambia County, News 5 has learned.

According to an FDOT news release, the project will take place on State Road 97 (Atmore Highway), from State Road 95 (U.S. 29) to the Alabama state line in Escambia County.
The project covers approximately 22 miles and includes milling and resurfacing the road, updating signs and pavement markings, and drainage improvements.
Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures and restrictions between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
