New Direct Pensacola Flight Expands Travel, Career Access for SEMO Students

Starting May 1, Cape Girardeau Regional Airport will begin offering seasonal direct flights to Pensacola, Florida. The flight will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will run until Sept. 7th.

For Southeast Missouri State University students, the new service could mean less time on the road and more time at the beach.

“It will make traveling easier, and it couldn’t be going to a better location,” said Bracey Blanton, a senior professional selling major at SEMO. “I will only have a total round trip of 30-45 minutes going back and forth from airports. Before, it would have been closer to five or five and a half hours.”…
