Florida CFO delivers $1.3M in immigration enforcement grants to NWFL sheriffs

SHALIMAR Fla. — Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingolia was in Shalimar Thursday handing out more than $1.3 million in state grant funding to sheriffs across Northwest Florida.

The money was meant to reimburse each organization for funding related to immigration enforcement. Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties all received checks.

“Through these reimbursements, the state of Florida is ensuring every single law enforcement agency that has signed up have the resources they need to enforce the nation’s laws and to protect its citizens,” Ingolia said…
