MILTON, Fla. — A couple in Santa Rosa County is charged with animal cruelty.
Freya Bergeron, 48, and James Bergeron, 64, were both arrested Thursday afternoon on misdemeanor charges of:
- animal cruelty – impound confine animal without sufficient food/water
- animal conservation – tormenting, depriving, mutilating, or killing
Milton Police tell WEAR News the couple had been leaving a cat in a car in the Big Lots parking lot on Highway 90.
An employee says the couple would repeatedly park the car early in the morning and return late in the evening…
