ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A driver was seriously injured, and a part of I-10 in Escambia County was closed following a Friday morning crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to an FHP news release, the crash happened this morning, a little after 7 a.m., on I-10 eastbound, at mile marker 17.
A 44-year-old Pensacola man was driving east across the bridge when a tire reportedly ruptured and caused him to lose control of the truck.
The truck overturned and hit the bridge wall, coming to rest on top of it.
The driver was able to get out of the truck safely, but did receive serious, non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
