The McFadyens work hard on their farm, McFadyen Manor Homestead, so that their customers’ shopping can be simple.
The meat in their freezers at the new farm-to-table grocery store, Herd and Harvest Market, came from the animals that grazed their pastures, the eggs from their hens, the honey from their bees, and the raw milk from their Jersey dairy cows that roam their backyard, which happens to be a 40-acre farm.
Before it became their full-time business, spouses Caitlin and Nate McFadyen worked on their farm in addition to their day jobs, hoping to make more meals for their children without any extra additives.
