The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) reports a seasonal increase in yard waste across Escambia County, similar to what other local sanitation providers, including the City of Pensacola, are experiencing. Due to higher volumes, collection trucks are filling faster and requiring more trips to the Compost Facility, causing some delays in yard waste pickup.
Crews are working additional service days, including Saturdays, to return routes to normal. All yard waste placed at the curb will be collected. Residents whose waste has not been picked up by Sunday are asked to report it through the MyECUA app or the ECUA web portal…
