PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola, Florida, man has been charged with homicide, in addition to several other charges, after a weekend shooting, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an ECSO spokesperson, deputies responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Bobe Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

A male had been shot in the leg, the official said. He was taken to a local hospital.

Trase Alyxander Freeney, 24, of Pensacola, was arrested and charged with homicide, two counts of weapon offense, damage to property – criminal mischief, aggravated assault with a weapon, and firing a weapon.
