Pensacola’s Atlas Oyster House is closing its doors as part of an expansion of sister restaurant, The Fish House, the Great Southern Restaurant Group confirmed to the News Journal Thursday evening.
Atlas has been a Pensacola staple for over two decades, particularly famed for its Tuesday oyster special. However, some of Atlas’ menu items and events will carry over into The Fish House’s expansion project, which begins next week.
“The Great Southern Restaurant Group is thrilled with the continued growth and vibrancy in downtown Pensacola and is proud to be part of this momentum for over 25 years,” Great Southern shared in a statement. “In order to keep up with this growing demand, we are pleased to announce that beginning April 1st, we are merging The Fish House and the Atlas Oyster House to create a larger dining complex bearing The Fish House name. By doing so, we will be ableto provide over 300 feet of waterfront dining, 7 days a week.”…
