Pace High School wins $50,000 STEM grant

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Florida Power and Light has awarded a $50,000 STEM grant to one Santa Rosa County high school.

Pace High School is the recipient of the Classroom Makeover Grant, which will allow the school to redesign their classrooms with “cutting-edge technological resources, modern equipment and hands-on learning materials,” according to the release.

Some of the new technology includes virtual reality, 3D printers, robotics kits and interactive displays.

“With STEM education forming the anchor of a thriving future, these grants are designed to spark creativity, exploration and a lifelong passion for learning within our communities,” said FPL Vice President of External Affairs and Economic Development Pam Rauch.
