Financial woes may lead to school closures in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — The Escambia County Public School board may face the scary reality of closing schools, based on financial hurdles discussed at their most recent school board meeting.

Possible motive revealed in Wilmer family murders

Escambia County Superintendent Keith Leonard said the state is partially to blame. The Florida Department of Education sends voucher scholarships to hundreds of students to attend school elsewhere.
